I’m sure I’m not the only one who has noticed it getting lighter in the mornings and staying lighter in the evening. Which means one thing…summer is on its way! So to celebrate the end of Winter Blues I have been taking inspiration from the colour blue. Typically, blue is seen as a cold colour however, used in the right way, blue can be cosy and bold and it can bring a space to life. So here is some inspiration for adding blue to your spaces.
Deep blue is so cosy and in velvet, this sofa looks so lush and comfy. Matched with the moody grey on the wall creates a dramatic statement. This is a great combination for those of you who are not as confident with bright colours.

This image shows blue used in a subtle, accent way. Adding splashes of colour allows you to brighten up the room without breaking the bank.
This had to be my favourite blue - royal blue is great is you want to add a hint of luxury to your space which is why it works so perfectly in the bedroom. Introducing a touch of opulence in the room that should be a little bit special. Mixing texture and pattern taking this scheme to the next level!

This bright blue option is perfect for those of you looking to make a bold statement. Even if it is only the odd bit of occasional furniture, or an entire room, electric blue is perfect for getting a wow.

Matching the same tone of blue in different elements of the room really brings the scheme together. Again a great way to update a room on a budget but also a brilliant way to create a feature of elements such as lighting. This photo is a great example of a brilliant tonal blue scheme.
Each of these blue schemes work really well and can be easily replicated within your homes. Which one is your favourite? Let me know below!
