Tropical Prints

The weather has been lovely in England and I want to prolong that summer feeling for as long as possible. This time of year the shops are filled with tropical prints and everyone is posting pictures of their holidays, sandy beaches and sausage legs (guilty), so here are a few ways to put some tropical into your interiors.

Wallpaper

This is a brilliant way to make your space feel tropical! A bright, bold print can liven up any room and add a touch of summer straight away. Be brave with your choice of prints, trust me, you won't regret it!

Curtains

Using a tropical print for your curtains can create the same impact as wallpaper when they are drawn and give a nice pop of colour when they are open-win win in my book! Again, be bold with your choice of print!

Upholstery

Give your occasional chair a new lease of life with a tropical make over. It will create a focal point in your space too and make for a good conversation starter.

Accessories

If you don't want your tropical touch to be too perminate, accessories are your answer! A couple of cushions and the odd ornament gives the perfect tropical touch which can change with the seasons. If you don't like green, there are many white or yellow accessories to play with.

Plants

In my opinion, every home should have plants! They look fantastic (as long as you keep them alive) and they're good for your environment and your well being. A lovely and simple way of adding something tropical into your space. Buy a mix of large and small potted plants as well as hanging baskets to create height and texture.

I'm defiantly still in the holiday mood and will be adding big bold prints into my room! I'm also going to probably buy some more plants. I would love to see how you make your spaces more tropical!
