Sunshine Yellow

I hate to say it but its June 1st already and the sun seems to have disappeared, well in the south anyway! I am determined to keep the sun shining...so here are some sunshine yellow rooms to brighten up your day! Yellow is an interesting colour, not everyones favourite but it evokes happiness and brings light into any space and is worth a go if your feeling brave.

Accessories

You don't need to go all out and paint your whole room yellow, just a little hint here and there in your accessories is such as great way to introduce the colour into your space without breaking the bank.

Tiles

This idea is great! Again, its not using too much yellow but adding it into your tile design is a fun way to inject some life into your space. This geometric pattern is on point to, so thumbs up all round!

Splash backs

Colourful splash backs are one of my favourite things to put in a kitchen. I'm not so keen on the vertical tiles in this image, I would have them horizontal, but the colour is fab!

Features

I love, love, love this! Not only does it combine my new found love for doors (please see my previous post Ciao Tuscany) but it uses yellow and inky blue walls to create this beautiful contrast and a dramatic feel to the space! Love, love, love it!

Furniture

This cafe is so light and airy anyway but the block of colour from the chairs creates a focal point. Such a brill use of colour and any colour would work in this space as it has a neutral base so won't clash.
