Sophie Howard Interiors

It's official, Sophie Howard Interiors is a go! I love interiors and being a designer is who I am so starting this adventure was a no brainer. I'm very excited to share this with you all and hope that you wish me luck on my journey.

As an introductory offer I am giving my first 5 clients one free design. In exchange all I ask is that I am allowed to take and use photographs of your spaces for my portfolio, who write a testimonial for the website and that you like the Sophie Howard Interiors Facebook page. If you are interested, or know anyone who might be, please share this and get in contact, I am always happy to help!

Worried that you're too far away? Don't! I'm also offering an e-design service so I can give everyone a design. Simply send me photos and measurements of your space and we'll get started. Email me at info@sophiehowardinteriors.co.uk for more information. The website is currently under construction so please bare with and stay tuned.

My current obsession is painting parts of furniture to give them a new lease of life. I'm not talking about covering the whole piece in chalk paint because that craze, although still massive, is a bit over done. I'm talking about marking out a geometric part and painting that to give it a modern up do. Here are a few examples to get your imagination flowing!

Colour Block

The is a great way to add a bit of colour to your space. Choose a contrasting or tonal colour but make sure it's bright and start painting. Don't over think it...worst comes to worst you can always repaint it.

Dip Dye

Try dip dying some old paintings or photographs to update your walls. Just make sure they're not priceless one offs before you do!

White And Bright

Add some light to your space by painting a dark piece white (or a lighter colour). This will reflect the light more and 'illuminate' the space.

Ombre

Painting the backs or the legs of dining room chairs is a great update that the kids can get involved with. Mix up the paint in ombre tones and let them get to work. You could do coloured stripes too!

I think the chair is my favourite. Whats yours? Please feel free to comment below. Please visit my new Facebook page www.facebook.com/sophiehowardinteriors and give it a like! Have a look at my portfolio www.sophiehowarddesign.co.uk and follow me on twitter @SHowardsMusings
