I had such a great response from you all about my first Photography Inspo post of the series, so thank you all so much for your love, it really does mean the world hearing that your all enjoying my posts! So here is my second of the series. This image was sent it by Sarah Harper and I just love it. Taken in Cornwall it captures everything I love about England and I have really really enjoyed putting this scheme together! So here it is, my interiors scheme inspired by this photo of Cornwall.
Straight away I knew that the colour of choice for this scheme would be 'Calke Green' from Farrow & Ball. Available here I absolutely love this colours richness and moodiness. The image below shows it used in a bathroom setting and its just beautiful! Before you ask, definitely put it on every wall in your space, the colour is too gorgeous not to!
Alternatively, if cover your walls in green paint really isn't your thing, then use your larger pieces of furniture for your colour statements. Just like the lush, velvet sofa below! A great way to add a dramatic touch to your space.
Sarah's photo of Cornwall has a mix of green tones throughout it naturally, so don't be afraid to mix your shades of green in your cushions, artwork or other accessories.
If you've been following my blog for a while, you will know that I can talk about the benefits of plants all day! And it just so happens that taking inspiration from this image works really well if you include indoor plants! This is also where you can introduce your green shades too. To make them more of a focal point, leave the rest of the space neutral with creams and allow the plants to naturally create a beautiful contrast.
Generally speaking, the furniture in this scheme should be wood. The finish and colour of the wood is really up to you. Personally I love Walnut finishes, they are warm and work really really well against the gorgeous green taken from the photograph.
So there it is, my interiors scheme inspired by a photograph of beautiful Cornwall.
