It's November already! October has gone so quickly. Its defiantly getting colder, I've just ordered a new hat and gloves set and I can't wait to start wearing them! November is a colourful month, with the Autumnal leaves, Halloween and Guy Fawkes Night, its a countdown to christmas (49 days incase you didn't know!! Sorry) and it's finally getting cozy! So here are my October favourites, a few things I have been loving this month!
As soon as it starts to get cold the furs come out! Whether thats in fashion or in furnishings, fur always makes an appearance as soon as the temperature starts to drop! I personally don't like coloured furs, I think the more natural looking the better but even I brightly pigmented fur will add texture and create a sense of warmth to your spaces!
Now I mentioned how much I loved Orange in a post a little while ago and I'm still loving it! It's just such a great colour even in small amounts, like the below photo. Its warm and vibrant and adds a touch of drama. Its a great contrast colour, it looks fab against white or grey (a bit too much like halloween when paired with black) or even clashed with blue. Add a splash of Orange in your accessories to create a professional looking scheme.
Recently I have been obsessed with the idea of house plants...I haven't had the time to go shopping for any yet but I will be stocking up soon I'm sure! Not only are they good for you because they purify the air but they look fab too. Mix the sizes and species to create a mini jungle!
Candles are a feature in my home all year round but this time of year I seem to have more and more alight. The ambient lighting makes a space so cosy and moody I love it! There are so many scented candles out there, I do believe there is one for everyone. Cinnamon scents are great this time of year in the build up the christmas, but outdoorsy, woody scents are an Autumn favourite too.
So there you have it...my October favourites! I think I'll be loving these for a little while longer. What have you been loving this month? Let me know in the comments below!
