July favourites time! I can't believe we're in August already.. Now I know I say that almost every month but August has just come around super quick! The days are getting shorter already. I get up at 5am and I've started to notice it being dim and dark now when I wake up which makes me want to make the most of the sunshine whilst we still have it here in the UK. So lets get to it, here are my July Favourites!
Paint All Over
This look is just dreamy to me at the moment. Painting your walls, doors and door frame/skirting the same colour creates such a beautiful, chic, stylised look to your space I absolutely love it. The colour in this photo is fab too. It is 'Blue Blood' by Paint & Paper Library and it is just a scrumptious, rich, inky blue. You could literally do this in any colour too and it would create a look equally as beautiful.
Now for those of you who have been following my blog for a while you will all be well aware of my obsession with gold. So I guess this monthly favourite is not a surprise but yes once again I am in love with gold handles. In this image in particular I love the shape of the handles. I just find gold so much warmer then chrome, it's so much more inviting and tactile. Yes to gold hardware everywhere!
Adding panelling to your space can add a regal touch and this gold panelling adds an extra bit of glamour to your walls. If putting actual panels on your walls makes you worry about possible damage or cost there are plenty of wallpaper companies who do a panelled wallpaper that can look fantastic. Check out Andrew Martin, Graham & Green, Little Greene or Cole & Son for some wallpaper inspiration.
I honestly think that this will forever be my favourite type of flooring! I just love the texture and pattern that it creates. It adds such an organic feel to any space. It can also do wonders in making a space seem longer or wider then it is as the direction of the wood can trick the eye, making it great to smaller spaces.
I think everyone has gone a little Flamingo mad but I am definitely jumping on that train! They just have an ora of glamour and prestige and drama they are a fabulous addition to any room in need of a little quirk. Adding them in artwork, like the image below, introduces them into your space with a little more sophistication then a neon flamingo lamp but I say either is totally fine!
