Gallery Walls

So today marks the start of National Photo Month, exciting I know! I used to take countless numbers of photos everyday but now my camera seems to be gathering dust and I am not taking photos anymore. So to celebrate Photo Month I am going to take a photo a day for 31 days (because that's how long May is) and post them on my Instagram @sophiehowardinteriors If you want to join in too please tag me in your photos on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and I will be sure to have a look at all of your beautiful snaps!

Continuing with the theme of Photo Month, this post is going to be about creating Gallery Walls to show off all the beautiful photos you have! Now, there technically is no right or wrong way to hang photos but these are a few arrangements that I think are 'picture perfect' (sorry!) every time.

Picture Rail

A picture rail is a great way to display your photos and it has become really popular in recent years! It is always a fab and simple way to change your art work whenever you feel like it, to introduce a different colour or a new feature piece, its so easy to do.

Tryptic/Quad

A Tryptic and a Quad are simple formations that give a chic effect. Really easy to do as well, just make sure the spacing between images is even.

Random

This arrangement always looks more styled then the others, it a lovely way to mix styles and sizes whilst creating a feature collection.

What other arrangements have you got displayed in your home? Post your pictures on the Facebook page to share with everyone. I hope this has given you some inspiration! Please feel free to like me on Facebook, follow me on Twitter and find me on Instagram to see my photos for my May photo challenge. And like i mentioned if you want to join in please tag me in your photos so I can have a look at what your uploading! Until Wednesday...

Much love,

Sophie
