Christmas Card Hacks

I have always made my cards for all occasions, birthday, anniversaries, mothers day, fathers day, thank you cards…you name it, I’ve made it! But I particularly love making Christmas cards, I feel I can get really creative with my designs and make something light hearted and fun because…why not... ‘tis the season after all! The cards I make are quite time consuming because I get carried away and want them to be perfect, but they don’t have to be. Here are some Christmas card hacks to make your card making quick and simple this year.

Don’t Over Think It

This is the best advice I can give you, don’t think to hard! What ever the outcome, it will be more appreciated then a store bought card, so don’t worry. Buttons are a great time saver, their colourful, circular and make great baubles, or snowmen. Simply stick them to your card and draw strings to the top, perfect.

Get The Kids Involved

If you don’t fancy making them by yourself, get the family involved and finger paint! Red and white paint, ribbon and card is all you need to make this charming candy cane cards. Your Santa’s little helpers will get your cards finished in no time!

Ombré Effect

We all know the ombré effective is in fashion right now, so why not adapt it for your cards. I’ve simply raided the Dulux colour charts and have used a shaped hole punch to achieve an ombré effect with the perfect tone and with minimal effort.
