You will start to notice a change in Interior Design style. Things will become warmer, bolder, richer and lusher and I can't wait. There will be an opulence added to spaces that will really enhance your rooms and personal spaces.
Yesssssssss! I absolutely love love love dark wall colours! Inky blue, moody burgundy and rich charcoal grey. These dark tones help to bring warmth, luxury and drama to a room. I'm super excited to watch this trend evolve and see the spaces it helps to create! Need some more inspiration? Abigail Ahern is the master of this and one of my all time favourite designers. Brass is by far my favourite finish. I love the warmth it brings and the opulence it portrays so I'm defiantly pleased to see it sticking around. My top tip for using brass though is to go all out with it if you are using it in a space. I mean brass taps, brass handles, bras mental work on your tables or chairs. You will create a more cohesive scheme if you use it as much as possible.
Another trend I'm really excited about is mosaic marble. I've been obsessed with marble for a while now and you probably saw it everywhere is 2016. Well Marble is here to stay but with a twist. Different types of marble laid into a mosaic patten add a depth and detail to wall and floors. This is a great way to add more texture to your spaces.
With Pantone releasing it's colour of the year it has caused a rush and increase in the number of green furniture and accessories to complement the chosen colour 'Greenery'. If you don't know what colour I am talking about Here is my post celebrating 'Greenery'. My favourite material to add luxury into your space is velvet. It's tactile, lush and warm and a fabulous addition to any space.
Well I can safely say that if these initial trends are anything to go by 2017 is going to be a fabulous year in Interiors. I have loved these trends for as long as I can remember so am very very exciting that they are finally on trend. This year is going to be a good year filled with design that I love! Yey! Until next time...
